Dear Helen and All, I am getting along fine. This train goes to St. Louis, but I change at Evansville so go straight to Chicago. Hope you did not worry about the umbrella. I'll get a new one in Minneapolis. There were a lot of young soldiers on the trains. A group of young girls got on at Nashville. It did not take long before the boys were sitting with the girls. I have had a nap, eaten a sandwich and an apple. This is not a bad train at all. Will send a card from Chicago. Love, Mother |
