Dear Folks,
I am good at letter writing. Wrote one Sunday and now today.
Mother’s card of the 10th got here the 14th. Was postmarked Minneapolis 8 am the 11th. If you haven’t done so I wish you would write us a letter reporting your trip from Enumclaw to Minneapolis.
You folks certainly did travel Friday the 9th when you made the 560 miles and 90 miles that was over bad roads. It seems strange that there should be so much snow in the Dakotas and Minnesota and not so much in Montana.
We now have asparagus from east of the mountains. We sell it for 29¢ for 2 lbs. We got our first strawberries in today, but I don’t know what we are selling them for.
I bet Bushes were surprised to see you. Have you seen anything of Dr. Jensen. Do they expect to come out this summer.
You and Stella are getting around ok. Jim and I will be very glad to see you when you do get back. We get along ok but it would be a lot nicer if you were here.
Frank will have a nice long vacation next year. It would be nice of them to take Mrs. Ellsworth for the trip.
Bushes evidently don’t figure on going east this year.
The lecture in Puyallup the other night was by Mr. Davis. We heard him in Tacoma. I didn’t hear much of it. The Gossards went down just close to the front but then decided to sit much further back so I was there anyway. Grandpa and Grandma and Mr. & Mrs. Gossard and myself. We saw a few other Enumclaw folks. It was rainy all night.
We have had a lot of rain. Night before last and yesterday it just poured down. White River and all the creeks are quit high now. It is still raining but not so hard. Well I will have to get out with my papers. Love to you all.
P.S. Glad you like the girl’s apartment. Jim gave Harold and Miss Madson Mrs. Ellsworth’s address for the girls. Harold wrote one letter to Stella there.
Pop
