Dear Folks, Another nice letter a couple days ago. I have Johnny here while Helen is at her Gym class so there is plenty of noise and it really is hard to write. The kids sure do have a good time though. Ralph will be here Sunday. He at first expected to arrive today but I asked him to wait as it will be easier for me a little later. Had a letter from Jim today. Says there are lots of girls around Lakeland so it isn’t so bad after all. He doesn’t really know but won’t be surprised if they are shipped out sometime this month. We were out to a lobster tail dinner last night. It was delicious. I’ve often wanted to try it. The Hawks are 6 points up on the Boston Bruins and play them here tomorrow night. If we win we are practically certain of being in the playoffs. Toronto is only two points up on us and we have 3 more games than they have left to play. The regular season ends two weeks from Sunday. We have something planned for every night until then. That last week the boys are on the road and I expect to start some of my packing. I had the kid’s pictures taken. I’m sending two of the proofs that didn’t turn out good. We got a dandy of Jeannie and a real cute smiling one of the two. Had more taken of Ruthie but haven’t the proofs of those yet. Hope Hoeys made it up and that you had a nice day at the cabin. We sure will be glad to see it again. So sorry to hear Nell lost her baby – know she will come along fine with C.S. though. Johnny is Virg and Helen’s little boy. He and Ruthie play together all the time and get along nicely. Jeannie still has a sore mouth as 3 more teeth are yet to come through. She has two of the big double ones through and they are so big and mean. She hasn’t been sick but fussy and restless at night. Cully had another big night against the Rangers Sunday night. I’ll send clippings so you can read about it. The next day he and Brutley had pictures taken with Dante the Magician at the Oriental Theater. Ruthie and I went down to see the show afterwards. They also gave us two more passes good anytime in March. Cully will get another $10.00 hat also. It all made him pretty happy. More soon. Love, Gladys Do you plan to go south to be with Helen in May? Wish you could come and visit us on your way. Suppose we will be gone long before then. |
