Dear Folks, Yesterday I got your letter with the announcement of your store. I'm glad you were able to open by the First but how are you ever going to keep up with those hours seven days a week. Isn't that going to wear you out? I sure hate to think of you putting in such long hours with never any time off. That was a surprise about Harold leaving the mill. I want to write to Stella and ask her more about it. I wish I were out there to help too. I could take care of your house for you so you wouldn't have more work to do when you got home. Nashville changed to Daylight Time today but Lebanon is still on the old time so it's kind of confusing for us but we'll get used to it. Isn't this coal strike just terrible. It seems like something could be done about it. It really is hitting the contracting business now. And our motor I guess is waylaid someplace between here and Louisville since they said they sent it but it hasn't arrived yet. I've been doing some house cleaning but it doesn't take long to clean this house as it is small. No, Jimmie and Mary don't have sun glasses and would love a pair but Mom don't bother about their birthdays. Any spare time you have you had better just rest. When is Jim going to see his girl friends now? Well Folks I want to write a letter to Stella so will stop for now and I hope you're getting along fine and don't get too tired. I'll write more later. With Love, Helen |
