My dear Helen, This will be a hurried note, but we have not forgotten you. Jimmie got home at 4 A.M. yesterday. He left Pullman at 10. So many kids were hitchhiking home that rides were scarce. At Renton he met some kids he knew from Buckley. Got a ride right to our door. He looks good and feels he has passed in every subject. Will know as soon as he gets back. Will leave early Monday morning. Second semester starts Wednesday. I am sending the package today. Could find only one pair of stockings for you. They will be nice to wear when you go for hikes along the waterfront. Jimmie is going downtown now. Will write tomorrow for sure. Much love, Mother. P.S. Stella and I started out to send blue for a baby boy, now we have changed to pink. Well it is nice to have things of both colors. |
