Helen Erwin 5201 28th Ave South, Minneapolis, Minnesota |
My dear Helen, I will write a hurried letter to let you know what we have been doing. Papa and I left early yesterday morning and went over to see Hazel. We caught the 9:20 ferry from Tacoma. Had a nice ride and a good visit with Hazel. Got home just after ten last night. Would have been here sooner if the fog had not been so heavy between here and Auburn. Maybelle has another baby boy. Born December 19th. Her other baby will not be two until July. Aunt Lilly called up tonight to invite us down next Sunday for dinner. Of course we will go. Jimmie went to Puyallup Tuesday night to play basketball. Enumclaw won. Jim and Jack stayed down and went over to Jack’s aunt’s house. Came home last night. Got here just ahead of us. Jack stayed here all night with Jim. Our weather is real nice. Over 40° out today. I ironed this morning. Then Sara Gossard came over this afternoon to help with some church work. Stella is coming over tomorrow to sew. I’ll write a better letter tomorrow night. Much love. Mother. |
