Albert Erwin 1120 Cole St., Enumclaw, Washington |
Dear Albert, I'll write a few lines before I go out to eat. Today has been lovely and everything is going along fine. I waited for Mrs. Seeley's call until 7:40, then went to church - which is 12 blocks away. I enjoyed it very much. There were lots of testimonies. Mrs. Seeley gave one too. When I came home I found a place to eat, but found a better one today which is just as close. Mrs. Seeley called me this morning and I am all set to go in the morning. When the maid came in this morning I asked her where the big market place is and she directed me to it. It is 7 blocks from here. It made me wish you were along and that we had a place to cook. There seemed to be lots of meat and the fish was grand - big halibut and salmon, crab, shrimp and clams. The vegetables and fruit looked nice too. Next year when I come down you will have to come too. We will make a vacation out of the trip. Get a cabin or housekeeping room and get some good fish and have our fill of it. I bought some oranges and plums for morning. This morning I did not go out until 11:30, then had my lunch and breakfast together. On my way home I went thru three dime stores. Seems to be lots of things to sell in this town, and there is no sale tax on things. When I stopped at the desk to get my key the boy gave me a letter from Gladys. It certainly looked good to me for I had not expected any mail so soon. Tell her I'll write tomorrow so she will get it Monday. I am feeling fine and am quite free from my trouble, even the walking has not bothered me. Hope you enjoy your weekend in the hills. Much love - Sadie. |
