Dear Folks,
I’m in one of those streaks when I just can’t seem to get a letter written so I will just write a note now to let you know we are all okay.
The boys left at midnight last night for Detroit then will be back tomorrow morning. How we would like them to win. Only two months left of the regular season and Cully still hasn’t heard any more from the draft board. He expects his call any day.
Elizabeth arrived Saturday morning – just in time for breakfast. She called from the station so we had her take a cab out. Cully met her downstairs and paid for it. She is as tiny as ever and very thin. We enjoyed her visit very much and she seemed to have a good time. She had pictures to show us and told us all about each one of the family. Uncle Ben is putting on weight and feels wonderful. Elizabeth saw her first hockey game and was crazy about it. We went out after the game and got to bed at 4:15 A.M. Her train left Monday at 1 o’clock. We borrowed a car so we could all take her to the station. Saturday afternoon we went downtown. She bought a dress and a few little things.
The weather is so nice that Helen Johnson and I are taking the kids to the Lincoln Park Zoo today. Must do some shopping first. Will write more next time. Hope you are all fine.
Love, Gladys
