Dear Folks,
It’s a rainy day today and kind of cold out. I’m going to take the street car this morning.
It’s your birthday today, mother, and I’m thinking about you.
Saturday afternoon Elmer’s brother had to go to the hospital for appendicitis. He’s all right now, though. Yesterday Elmer and I went to see Eden and his brother and spent the rest of the day at the apartment and his house. He went back about 10:30 last night. He rode with a fellow from camp with four other boys in a roadster. It was raining last night and they were going to trade off riding in the rumble seat but I bet it was awfully miserable riding. It’s about 250 miles up there too.
Saturday night Kenny and Johnny and Elmer were over for dinner. Everything turned out fine. Tonight I was going to the fair with Peach and Chuck but we probably won’t go now on account of the rain. School starts today too.
I’m anxious to see Glad and hear about her weekend at Hibbing. They lost two out of their three games so aren’t the champions.
Well I will have to stop now and leave for work.
With Love, Helen
